November 2011: National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

Hospice of  The Pines along with NHPCO encourages our community to increase their understanding and awareness of care at the end of life.

Coping with a terminal illness can be overwhelming—most people don’t know where to turn for help. Fortunately, high quality care and support that provide patients and their families with hope, love and dignity at the end of life is available. And it’s covered by Medicare and most private insurance plans. It’s called hospice. Last year, hospice helped more than 1.5 million Americans live fully up until the end of life.

Hospice professionals and trained volunteers take the time to ask what’s important to you, and they listen to what you say. Find out if hospice is right for you and your family, contact: Hospice of  The Pines at 928-632-0111.
